Macklemore Reaffirms Political Stance at Red Rocks Performance

Macklemore returned to the stage at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 22, using his performance to reaffirm his support for Palestine and address U.S. immigration enforcement.

During the 17-song concert, the rapper spoke to the audience about his political views, including his opposition to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). His remarks came weeks after his removal from Ed Sheeran’s U.S. Loop Tour.

The September decision followed Macklemore’s September 4 performance at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where he expressed solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

Tour promoter Messina Touring Group previously explained that several venues had objected to Macklemore remaining on the lineup, creating concerns about potential concert cancellations.

Despite the controversy, Macklemore has continued speaking publicly about Palestinian rights.

He also announced his own Free Palestine Tour, with concerts scheduled in Dublin, Paris, and London in late October. Proceeds from those performances will support organizations providing humanitarian assistance and other services to Palestinians.

The Red Rocks appearance marked another public statement of the rapper’s longstanding political positions.
