Yung Miami has opened up about an unanswered message she sent Drake while trying to secure a collaboration on her hit single “Spend Dat.”
During an October 23 interview with Hot 97, the former City Girls rapper revealed that she contacted Drake about appearing on the song’s remix but never received a response.
Miami explained that she would have preferred a simple rejection rather than being left on read. Despite the unanswered request, she made it clear that she remains a fan of Drake and continues to respect his work.
The official “Spend Dat” remix eventually featured Lil Baby and Kodak Black. The song reached No. 17 on the Hot 100, marking a successful chapter in Miami’s solo career.
This was not her first attempt to collaborate with Drake. She previously approached him about appearing on “Take Me to Chanel,” but said he only liked her message.
The two artists have a musical history dating back to Drake’s 2018 hit “In My Feelings.”
Miami’s comments came alongside the October 23 release of her debut solo album, Watch Dis!
