Bhad Bhabie and Lil Yachty got into a heated argument over cultural appropriation. During a live on her Instagram, Bhabie discussed people criticizing her for emulating Black culture. The 18-year old said, “The one thing I’m really, really sick of is the whole ‘Bhad Bhabie is a cultural appropriator.' Y’all make these words have different terms to what they even mean. Cultural appropriation is if I was to sit up and say, ‘Oh, a certain race looks ugly with that.’ And then I go do that on myself.”

She continued, “If I said that Black girls look ugly with braids and then I go get them, that’s culturally appropriating. Or when girls put chopsticks in their hair, that’s cultural appropriation. That’s doing something negative with someone’s culture.”

Yachty asked her, “Bro, what the f**k is you talking about?” Bhabie replied, “If I wanna be Black, then why am I racist? Make it make sense. That’s really what I get pissed about.”

She later told Yachty, “You don’t live in my shoes. You ain’t as popular. You ain’t got as much money as me … You don’t know what a person like me goes through.”
